BMC’s Timemachine is one of the most distinctive and lusted after aero frames of 2012. Cables all vanish into the frame behind the stem and it’s fully ready for Di2 electric shifting too. The seat tube junction uses a hidden wedge clamp for the cleanest possible lines and the integrated rear brake disappears into
the chainstays.

Riding impressions:

"The position the forward sloping top tube permits feels totally natural and keeps the rider from affecting the bike’s aerodynamics too much. With rock solid handling the TM02 is gagging for a set of aero wheels and it’s stable enough to go deep with your rim choice to minimise drag.

The frame is stiff enough to grunt up inclines if you have to though and the bike’s ability to maintain speed on shallow slopes is impressive. It’s equally confident on sharp descents and sweeping corners so fast, rolling terrain is certainly within its race remit.

While it looks razor sharp, the BMC’s ride feel is actually smooth. The position created by the 77-degree seat angle feels great straight away. There’s also potential to drop it properly low at the front. That and the options offered by the four-position seat clamp make the BMC a superb place to perch for hours on end. Plugging in deep section wheels for the final part of testing also underlined the TM02’s premier league upgrade potential."
